Sarah is a Grant Manager who works with the Community of Fort Worth to enhance the emergency management system to strengthen the community in crisis situations and support first responders.

Sarah vehemently pursues her beliefs in community togetherness and sustainability. She is a firm believer in building people up to better the good of society, she is an inspiration to be around and her heartfelt nature is felt ubiquitously.

Sarah has supported her Community by working with Volunteers of America Texas, MHMR of Tarrant County and Woman to Woman each of which exemplify her true passion for her community.  Her humanitarian ways are an inspiration to everyone she engages.

Sarah has received the Positive and Consistent Effort (PACE) award from FEMA while serving on disaster in Salem Oregon. The Congressional Award; which recognizes young adults who commit 10 months to service by exploring four key program areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. She has also received The President's Volunteer Service Award for over 2000 hours of voluntary community service across the US.  One of her most recent outstanding achievements is graduating with her master’s degree with a 4.0. Sarah has a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Texas.

Sarah currently lives in Fort Worth Texas with her partner, Wesley, and her two pets Violet and Castiel. She enjoys going on adventures and discovering new things.  

Sarah is the Granddaughter of Tony and Lucky Cara and will discuss veteran reintegration programs for newly discharged military in Texas.
