Our Scholarship Awardees!

Way to go Jaira and Kayin!

Immediate Past President Roxy and Membership chair and scholarship committee member Kathy, presented our two scholarship winners their official certificates July 18, 2022. Jaira Pader was awarded a $1000 Scholarship and Kayin Bohnet was awarded a $5000 Scholarship. They joined us for lunch and shared their bright hopes for the future! Our awardees put forth their best efforts academically and excelled during our interview process. The future looks bright for these two students! The Rotary Club of East Honolulu wishes you the best on your journey forward!

Thank you to the scholarship committee and our entire club for your commitment to these deserving young scholars.

Palolo Paint Paina August 20, 2022

Please take note of the new date for our Palolo Paint Paina community service project. August 20, 2022. We are excited to paint the playground area for our keiki! Playing hopscotch during wiki (recess) is all about staying in the lines. Over the years the lines at the Palolo playground have faded and very hard to see. We are going to make it easier for our keiki to play and have a fun outlet during recess this school year. We will also give a paint refresher to other areas of the campus. Please bring a guest to join us for this fun outdoor project. I do believe we will have access to the indoors for cool shade and refreshments for those who need to stay indoors. Everyone can join this project indoors or outside there is something for everyone to do!

Date: August 20, 2022

Time: 8:30-11:30AM

Location: 2106 10th Ave
                  Honolulu, HI 96816

More Americans than ever are volunteering, according to 2018 statistics. In fact, baby boomers are giving more than 2.2 billion service hours, more than any other age group. The baby-boomers of the RCEH are making a significant impact in our club and community! Thank you for the value  that all of you bring to our club! Where would we be without your wisdom, insight, and wit! Now, let’s get busy and add to those 2.2 billion service hours! ~You are appreciated!

Be our Guest!

This month our members will share as our guest speakers! Every week during the month of August members of our club will share a bit about themselves for 3-7 minutes. This will give us an opportunity to get to know some of our newer members and learn something new about members we have not seen in a while. We will have 2-3 speakers each week. If you would like to be our guest speaker just let Secretary Mae Mendleson know ASAP.

We can not wait to hear from you!
