Aiko Yamashiro

Hawaiʻi Council for the Humanities 

Executive Director

 

Aiko Yamashiro was raised in Kāneʻohe and a graduate of Castle High School and UH Mānoa (PhD in community-engaged literatures of Hawaiʻi). She is the executive director of Hawaiʻi Council for the Humanities, a nonprofit dedicated to history, culture, literature, philosophy, and the ways the humanities can strengthen our communities outside of the university. For her presentation, she will bring some humanities discussion questions for the club to explore together.
