Sunny is an Army Nurse Corps veteran, graduate of the University of San Francisco and holds an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business, UCI. She’s also a certified Lactation Consultant, and although over the years she has held a variety of different jobs in the field of nursing and business, she always kept a pulse on helping mothers, children and babies. One interesting fact about Sunny is that at one point in her life, she was an aspiring professional golfer. Today, she’s lucky if she gets out on the golf course once a year because the most important hat she wears today is being a mother to a creative daughter and two high-spirited boys. She is also a military spouse and has a strong passion for helping those who serve.

Thank you so much for your Clubs' generous funding commitment to the Global Grant project: GG2344007 WASH in a school in Hiep Duc, Vietnam. 7 Clubs in D5000 committed almost $10,000 cash, and with the leverage by DDF and the World Fund, the total available funding is now at $25,000. As the estimated cost of the project is $39,500 (It is slightly higher than a few months ago as we added water filtration system), we still need to fill the funding gap of $14,000.
We are now approaching a few Rotary Clubs in California (Oakland 3 and Palo Alto Rotary Clubs) to solicit their funding. I would be grateful if you could let me know of any other Clubs, including your sister Clubs, which may be interested in supporting this project. I will be happy to talk with them directly to follow up. FYI attached is the three page powerpoint for your use in approaching other Clubs.
Thank you so much for your help in advance in filling the funding gap as soon as possible so that we can get the approval from TRF and the work can start soonest. Our hope is for the rehabilitation of the facilities to finish in 7 months and to take a service trip to Vietnam in November 2023.
