This Week's Speaker
Christy Nishita, Ph.D. is a Gerontologist at the Thompson School of Social Work and Public Health at the University of Hawaii. She received her Ph.D. in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She is the consultant for the Mayor’s Age-Friendly Honolulu Initiative, developing community intergenerational programming and fostering public/private partnerships. Dr. Nishita is also Principal Investigator for Hawaii’s Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, a grant from the U.S. Federal Administration for Community Living.
