East Honolulu
Shangri La - Meet at the Honolulu Museum of Art
900 S. Beretania Street
Between Victoria Street & Ward Avenue
Honolulu, HI
United States of America

Join us on a guided tour of Shangri La, a museum for Islamic arts and cultures.  Built-in 1937 as the Honolulu home of American heiress and philanthropist Doris Duke (1912-1993), Shangri La was inspired by Duke's extensive travels throughout North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia and reflects architectural traditions from India, Iran, Morocco, and Syria.

Join us on this fascinating tour of this breathtaking residence that features a series of stunning interior touches.  This home is filled entirely from Doris Duke's own collections of antiquities and art.

Our group will meet at the Honolulu Museum of Art at 900 South Beretania Street (Between Victoria Street & Ward Avenue) at 9:00am and a shuttle will take us to Shangri La. Our tour will begin at 9:30am and we will be back at the museum at 11:00am.  As a group, we will likely have an optional lunch together at the museum cafe.

Special Group tour price of $22/person (to be paid to the museum).

Guests are invited and spots are limited (first come, first serve).  Please RSVP as soon as possible.

Hope to see you there!
