Kelly McDonald came to Oahu from Phoenix, Arizona where he was a graduate faculty member at Arizona State University for 12 years before moving into Healthcare Management Consulting. His background and training is Strategic & Organizational Communication. He brings almost 20 years of experience as a volunteer, leader, and consultant working within the nonprofit sector, focused on fundraising, stakeholder engagement and organizational capacity building within organizations focused on healthcare, education & human services.  Kelly came to Hawaii to work for AlohaCare - the state's only locally based, nonprofit health insurance plan serving the state's medically underserved. He currently serves as the Call Center Manager and oversees a number of internal and external strategic initiatives within AlohaCare.  Kelly and his wife were married in Princeville, Kauai in September of 2012. His wife Devrie and their Yorkshire Terrier Peanut enjoy living here in Hawaii.
